Recently, I attended a sales kickoff and listened to an internal speaker tell the sales team that their data shows that when they engage in team selling, their closing rate jumps 40%.
Can you imagine closing 40% more sales this year? And what is team selling anyways? Team selling is just when you’re bringing along someone else inside your organization.
Maybe it’s a specialist, or maybe it’s an engineer, or maybe somebody who sells an adjacent product to yours that can complement your installation on a client site.
Or maybe it’s a manager, maybe it’s a customer service or a customer success agent.
And I got to tell you, this is not the first time I’ve heard this statistic.
