I have a challange for you!

Chris, Conrad and I just made the trek to return to Miami last week. It’s a long, tiring drive and I’m embarrassed to say that after 27 hours of driving, we ended up asleep on the coach well before midnight on New Year’s Eve. We did make it up for our favourite brunch at the Ritz – you’ll note from the photo the complete absence of snow!

I hope you are rested after the holidays and raring to go this year as much as I am. Why am I so excited?

Retail sales are up over the same period as last year. Engage clients are already reporting record sales in January (and most were up in 2010 over 2009). And a surprise surge in private-sector employment last month to its highest level on record provided the most bullish signal in months that the U.S. economy is on the mend. What’s not to be excited about?
