After a marathon road trip of 25 hours over two days Chris, Conrad and I arrived in Miami. Monday was spent setting up our new offices in the condo. To be fair, Chris set up the offices while I put away groceries. I am not allowed to configure or plug-in anything electronic in our offices.
It’s nice for us to be away from the snow and in the sun while still being productive. Consider it our way of living the spirit of the 4 hour work week mobile lifestyle! Of course, as luck would have it, my first trips to see clients are in Minneapolis, PEI and Ottawa this month. You can’t get any colder than that! Just God’s way of keeping things balanced I guess… How are you finding time to relax and rejuvenate this year? Although its hard to turn off when you are in sales, it is important to step away and change your surroundings in order to stay creative and motivated.
As Chris and I were driving across the MacArthur Causeway on Sunday, staring at the Yachts moored in front of their mansions on Star Island and watching the Bentley’s speed past us I laughed out loud: “Ahhh there is nothing like South Beach to make you feel like you have accomplished nothing in your life!” OK… while that might be a slight overstatement I can’t help but be motivated when exposed to a different category of lifestyle than what is available in Ottawa. What motivates you?
I am also motivated by the best professionals in any business, even those who are not in the sales business. This is why I invited Susan Berkeley to our Powerhouse Sales Event and the teleseminar series. I hope you had a chance to listen to the interview from Susan yesterday (if you didn’t you can still sign up here and get access to the recording: Powerhouse Preview Teleseries).
The advice she gives sales professionals on how to use the power of your voice profitably is invaluable! I would love to hear your feedback on the call and hope you will consider joining us in Ottawa on April 27-28 to see our experts live.
Dedicated to increasing your sales,
